Ask-first capture

Nothing runs until the visitor clicks yes.

Most visitor-identification tools fire the moment the menu loads, which is exactly where the wiretap suits are drawn. Ask-First Capture puts a plain yes-or-no question in front of the lookup, right beside the age gate you already run, so stores and brands get customers they can defend, and nothing they cannot.

Step one is a free scan of your site. No pricing talk, no pressure.

Cartoon of the auditor asking a visitor at a clipped velvet rope inside a dispensary, the visitor pausing with a thought bubble holding a check mark and a cross.
The rope stays clipped until there is an answer.

Consent

Avoid wiretap claims by never earning one.

Consent first is not politeness. It is the defense the other tools do not have.

In 2025, hundreds of wiretap claims were filed against websites that identified visitors before asking, under state wiretap laws. Statutory damages run to five thousand dollars per violation, and dispensary sites, with their menu embeds, chat widgets and pixels, are not exempt from the ones that bite.

Every one of those claims turns on a single fact: was the visitor identified without consent. GreenLeadSource asks first, records the answer, and only then runs the lookup for that visitor. A yes on record answers the complaint, and a no means there was never anything to complain about.

Cartoon of a process server with a stack of envelopes at a velvet rope, deflated, while the auditor calmly holds up a stamped consent card and the shopkeeper looks on.
The envelope meets the stamp.

In practice

Yes shows a face. No keeps them anonymous.

Both answers are honored the moment they are given.

Yes
Cartoon of the shopkeeper holding up a placard with a large check mark while the visitor, now fully drawn and smiling with a name badge, steps through the rope with a stamped card.
The sign goes up and the silhouette becomes a person: a face, a name, and a consent card on record.
No
Cartoon of the shopkeeper holding up a placard with a large cross, nodding politely, while the visitor remains a featureless grey silhouette turning to browse the menu.
The sign goes up and the visitor stays a silhouette. Nothing is looked up, and nothing is kept.

Questions we get first.

Does this replace my age gate?
No. The age gate asks whether the visitor is 21. Our banner asks whether we may remember them. Two questions, two answers, both remembered, and the second is never asked in a way that skips the first.
What if my site already has a consent banner?
Keep it. We work alongside CookieYes, Osano, OneTrust, Termly, Complianz, and Cookiebot. If you have none, we bundle one.
Do you ask again on every visit?
No. A choice is remembered with the version of the policy it was given under. If the policy changes, the question comes back.
What counts as consent?
An affirmative click on the banner. Scrolling, closing the banner, clicking through the age gate, or continuing to browse do not count.
Can a visitor change their mind?
Any time, on our opt-out page. The request applies across our network and the record is removed.
